Manyasa Edits was inspired by the desire to help students with research-related services, including editing research reports, assisting with research proposals and research paper editing. As a small business based in Dar es Salaam, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence. This editing service was pioneered by Dr. Jonace Manyasa. 

Jonace Manyasa is a Tanzanian author and lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam (DUCE). He was awarded second place in the 2025 618 Editions International Short Story Competition, a prestigious global literary contest hosted by 618 Editions, a Dubai-based publisher known for celebrating bold and evocative storytelling from around the world.

His short story, “The Voice Beneath the Canopy,” was praised by the judges as “layered, lyrical, and haunting in all the best ways.” The story explores themes of ancestral memory, lost histories, and the emotional ties between people and the land. This international recognition cements Manyasa’s place among the rising literary voices of the continent.

This achievement follows the earlier international publication of his story “A Death by the Shore” by Brittle Paper, a U.S.-based literary magazine widely respected for promoting African literature. That story, set along the Tanzanian coastline, marked the beginning of Manyasa’s exposure to global literary audiences.   

Dr. Jonace Manyasa is also a novelist, with several works published by Tanzania Educational Publishers. His novels include The Lost Kiss, Rachel’s Destiny, Shadows of Secrets, and Foul Desires. Some of these novels have been used in Tanzanian universities, including the University of Dodoma (UDOM), Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), and Mzumbe University. In addition to his academic role, where he teaches French as a foreign language and linguistics, Dr. Manyasa also works as a freelance translator, offering professional document translation services in English–French, French–English, and Swahili–English.
